Scholarships for foreign students
Existen tres modalidades de perfeccionamiento para extranjeros en Chile.
1) Beca República de Chile for master studies.
The call for participation is on-line from October to December each year. This scholarship targets professionals from invited countries and preferably sponsored by their employer at their country of origin. Working experience is considered.
Candidates must include on their application documents, the letter of acceptance given by the Chilean university they wish to attend. This step is independent from the application to the scholarship y each candidate has to obtain the acceptance letter on an individual-basis.
Candidates must submit their applications in papers, but also scanned on a CD, to the AGCI counterpart (Focal point). Counterparts will formally send all the documents to the Scholarships Department.
Scholarships benefits: complete tuition, monthly allowance for living, health insurance, and allowance for materials. The scholar will be responsible for transportation from the country of origin to Chile.
2) Beca de Reciprocidad Chile-Mexico.
The call for participation is on-line from October to December each year. This scholarship is targeted to Mexican professionals and preferably sponsored by their employer at their country of origin. Working experience is considered.
Candidates must include on their application documents, the letter of acceptance given by the Chilean university they wish to attend. This step is independent from the application to the scholarship y each candidate has to obtain the acceptance letter on an individual-basis.
Candidates must submit their applications in papers, but also scanned on a CD, to the Secretaría de Relaciones Exteriores de Mexico - SRE (Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs). The SRE will formally send to the Scholarships Department all the documents.
Scholarships benefits: complete tuition, monthly allowance for living, health insurance, and allowance for materials. The scholar will be responsible for transportation from the country of origin to Chile.
COURSES1) Diplomas
Diplomas are training programs offered in Chile by some public institution or university and sponsored by AGCI.
Each diploma has its own requirements and application forms. Candidates must submit their applications in papers, but also scanned on a CD, to the AGCI counterpart (Focal Point). Counterparts will formally send to the Scholarships Department all the documents.

2) International courses.
International courses are training programs offered by a public institution or university and sponsored by Chile jointly with another international cooperation agency, such as the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) or the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
Each international course has its own requirements and application forms. Candidates must submit their applications in papers, but also scanned on a CD, to the AGCI counterpart (Focal Point). Counterparts will formally send to the Scholarships Department all the documents.
