About AGCI
Council
Is the collegiate body that exercise the authority of the Service.
It comprises the Foreign Minister, who presides, a representative of the Minister of Social Development, a representative of the Minister of Finance and four members appointed by the President of the Republic, must be at least one of them, representative of a university recognized by the state.
The Council's functions are:

Exercise the powers and fulfill or enforce the duties that legally incumbent on the Agency.

To approve the annual action program in addition to the Agency's budget and its modifications.

Delegate some of its functions and powers to the Executive Director, other officers of the Agency and, for specific effects in constituting committees with directors, officers or persons outside the Council.

Approve the internal organization of the Agency and its modifications.

Appoint managers and professionals through grade 8 of the Public Sector EUR.

Adopt resolutions necessary for the proper functioning of the Service.
Members
Alfredo Moreno completed his secondary education at the San Ignacio El Bosque School, obtaining the “Best Ignatian” Award. He graduated with highest honors as an Industrial Engineer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. He also obtained -with honors- a degree of Masters in Business Administration, MBA, from the University of Chicago, United States. He has developed a distinguished career both in Chile and abroad.
He was part of the G-50, a group of fifty Latin American leaders selected by the magazine Foreign Policy, the foremost international relations publication in the United States. He has also been a member of the International Council of the Fundação Dom Cabral in Brazil and the Global Advisory Board of the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago, among other institutions. These positions have enabled Mr. Moreno to develop a wide network of international contacts both in the public and private sectors. He also has ample experience serving on the boards of companies.
He was President of ICARE, a private nonprofit corporation that promotes business excellence in Chile. In addition, he has had relevant roles in institutions related to public service. Among others, he was President of the Chilean Telethon Foundation, Vice-President of the International Telethon Organization and Chairman of Fundación Paz Ciudadana. Alfredo Moreno was born in Santiago; he is married and has four children.
